Lately there are fewer of us who smoke and surely one day we will have to give it up. In the meantime, there is bound to be a day of celebration or a guest who smokes, so having an ashtray is always a good idea. My first creations were ashtrays, with different shapes and sizes and it is a piece that I have a special affection for because I am a smoker and because the imperfect ashtrays have helped me a lot to improve different techniques and I have learnt a lot creating different shapes and trying with very bright colours.
